ABSTRACT:
Synthesis of Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Nanoparticles has been carried out by Microwave Assisted
Method. Poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) is used as a capping agent to stabilize the ZnSe nanoparticles.
The Synthesized nanoparticles are characterized by powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and
Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The XRD explains the interrelationship of particle size
and specific surface area. X-rays diffraction measurement confirms the incorporation of ZnSe
with a cubic structure and nanometer size. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) demonstrates
the morphological study of the ZnSe nanoparticles.
