COLLEGE REGULATION

Every student shall wear a clean and presentable uniform introduced by the college

Every student shall greet the members of the staff of the college when he meets them for the first time during the day.

When the member of the staff enters the class room the students shall get up and remain standing till they are asked to sit or the member of the staff takes his / her seat.

Every student is expected to provide himself with the required books in every subject.

Every student shall aim at such behaviour in the classroom that he shall not in the least create any disturbance.

Every student shall endeavour to attend classes regularly and shall refrain from doing anything calculated to affect the attendance of the other students.

Every student shall sit in the place assigned to him in the classroom.

Students coming late to the class shall enter only with the permission of the teacher.

No student shall be permitted to leave the class before the end of the period.

Students shall not loiter about the college campus or stand in groups in the approaches to the college. They should ensure a calm atmosphere of study and orderliness.

Students attending lectures, working in laboratories or attending meetings shall maintain perfect silence.

Students getting out of a classroom or moving from one classroom to another shall do so in an orderly manner without making noise.

Irregular attendence, insubordination to teachers, habitual indifference to class work, obscenity in word or action and such other conduct considered to be unbecoming of a student shall be dealt with severely.

Students shall handle all college property with care and endeavour to preserve the cleanliness of the buildings furniture and college campus. Any damage done to the properties of the college inadvertently will be made good at the cost of the student concerned. Any wilful damage will be seriously dealt with.

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the College campus.

No student shall bring in to the college premises pets unauthorised books or other objectionable articles of any kind.

No notice or petition of any kind shall be circulated among the students or put on the notice board or any where within the college premises without the written sanction of the principal.

Students are forbidden to organise any meeting in the college or collect money for any purpose without the permission of the Principal.

The attention of students is drawn to the following Disciplinary Regulations for colleges issued by the Government of Tamilnadu for strict compliance.

a. Students should abstain from active participation in party or communal politics.

b. Principal of the college may frame and issue from time to time disciplinary rules of a permanent or temporary character regulating the conduct, outside the college of students on the rolls so far as such rules seem necessary to maintain the credit, usefulness and reputation of the college.

c.Principal or other constituted college authorities shall have power to inflict punishments, in the interests of the institution.

No Social Function shall be held within the college campus without the permission of the principal.

Students are expected to conduct themselves in such a way to project and promote the fair image of the college.

IDENTITY CARD

Every student must be in possession of the identity card during college hours and produce it on demand by any member of the staff at any time.

CLASS HOURS

The working hours are from 10.00 am to 4pm having five periods of one hour duration.

The first bell is rung five minutes before the beginning of the forenoon and the second bell at the hour fixed for the commencement of the class. Students are expected to take their seats in their respective class rooms before the second stroke of the bell. The bell shall also be rung at the end of each period.

PRAYER

At the stroke of the second bell during forenoon session a prayer song is played on the Public Address system when all shall stand and pray silently till the song is over. Any student who is on his way to his class when the prayer song is played shall stop immediately and proceed only after the prayer song is over.
