Thiru A.L.Subramanian, Former Secretary has proved his life to be meaningful by leaving his legacy-Thiru A.L.S.Shanmugam to our reputed institution.
Thiru A.L.S.Shanmugam after his schooling from St.Xavier’s Higher secondary School joined Sankar Institute of Polytechnic in 1989. Since 1992, he has been running a construction firm named after his fater Thiru A.L.Subramanian which is called ALS Constructions at Palayamkottai. He is a Class 1 Govt. Registered Contractor and Licensed Surveyor. He is a former Treasurer of Tirunelveli Civil Engineers’ Association. He holds the post of a Patron Member of the Builders’ Association of India. He is also a Member of Lion’s Club Gold of Tirunelveli Region.
He is a social worker and he has a spiritual need to have a sense of meaning, purpose, personal commitment, and positive contribution to the college.
