THE MADURAI DIRAVIYAM THAYUMANAVAR HINDU COLLEGE

From the Secretary's Desk…..

"The aim of education should be to teach us how to think; than what to think –rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men"- Bill Beattie

This website explains the objectives, strategies and mission of our institution. Since the inception of The Madurai Diraviam Thayumanavar Hindu College, it has been fulfilling the immediate and distant goals of education. As the institution marches towards its 150th years of service, it has a constant progress in the goals for the development of the rural society.

The Objective of our college is being periodically achieved in the multi-faceted areas of humanity and science. It is an excellent centre for learning and research. It has updated the methods of execution of its service.

The college feels proud of securing “ThinkEdu” Award of the year 2019 from the Honourable Thiru.Edappadi.K.Pazhanisamy, Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, for its unflinching service for the promotion of higher education among the economically and socially marginalized student community. Furthermore, programmes have been conducted towards the promotion of human values in the minds of the learners and also the public.

In the long history of the institution apart from the credits and challenges it faced, it went for the first reaccreditation of NAAC in 2011, when it gained high appreciation for its rural service. The second reaccreditation was in 2018 in which the college was elevated in its grades. The management feels honored to impart quality education to the poor and to the downtrodden. With a perfect co-ordination of the staff and students, the institution promotes communal harmony.
