The Department of Zoology, The MDT Hindu College organized two-day National Seminar on Marine Resources NSMR’16. Principal of The MDT Hindu College Dr.Subramanian Welcomed the scientific gathering. College Committee Member B.T.Chidambaram presided over the function and delivered the inaugural address. Head of the department of Zoology Prof.Elango Subramanian highlighted the objectives of the seminar. The Proceedings of the seminar was released by B.T.Chidambram, Received by Prof.Ravikumar of Alagappa University. The soft copy of the proceedings was released by Dr.Subramanian and Received by Prof.S.T.Somasunadaram, CAS in Marine Biology, Annamalai University. The chief guest of the inaugural session Prof.Ravikumar delivered a thought provoking lecture. Finally Dr.Saravanan, organizing secretary of NSMR’16 proposed vote of thanks. Noted Scientists and research scholars from various reputed institutions shred their expertise in various areas of marine biology. This seminar has 11 invited Lectures, 33 oral Presentaions and 16 poster presentations to its credit. Prof. Neela Krishna Babu mastered the ceremony. Dr.Saravanan, organizing Secretary, Prof.Elango Subramanian, Dr.Ganga, Dr.Subramonian, lab Assistants Parali.Sundararajan, Palaniappan, Chelladurai and the students of Zoology coordinated for the successful conduct of the national seminar.
